John 5:46

46: For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.

 Genesis 49:10

10: The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between.

Yet we know from the following that David did not descend from Judah, but from Ephraim:

1 Samuel 17:12

12: Now David was the son of that Ephrathite of Bethlehem Judah, whose name was Jesse; and he had eight sons: and the man went among men for an old man in the days of Saul.

Therefore, Mary the mother of Christ, and Joseph Christ’s step father, were of Ephraim and not Judah. Therefore, Christ could not have been a jew by any stretch of the imagination.
