The present endeavor to bring into being a universal one world government is a satanic determination to thwart the establishment of the Kingdom of God in righteousness. If all the nations and the inhabitants of the world consent to the acceptance of the administration of the affairs of this earth by such a super government, the Kingdom and Throne of Jesus Christ will pass into oblivion. The rulers of such a universal government would be in strong opposition to the return of Jesus Christ to take over the Throne of His father David and reign forever over the Kingdom established at Mount Sinai.
The Adversary has always known that, in order to frustrate the plans of God, he must bring about the overthrow of the Kingdom and the Throne of David established over that Kingdom. A study of the history of Israel clearly reveals he has endeavored to accomplish three objectives: the corruption of the people, the destruction of the Kingdom and the elimination of the Throne. He is fully aware of the promise made to Mary regarding her Son Jesus: “ The Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. ” (Luke 1:32-33)
It is therefore, obvious that the Kingdom and throne, as well as the people, the citizens of that Kingdom, will be actively functioning and in existence when the Second Advent is to become a reality. Destroy the Kingdom, the throne or the people, constituting the citizens of that Kingdom, and Jesus Christ could not return in fulfillment of the Divine promise.
Throughout all the history of God ’ s people, Satan has endeavored to accomplish his objective. At times he almost succeeded, but God is never frustrated, and all His plans will materialize and His predictions come to pass. Even in the darkest days of idolatrous practices and immorality there has been, and will always be, a faithful remnant among His people remaining true to God and conforming with all the requirements of His precepts.
Following the exodus from Egypt, the children of Israel encamped at the foot of Mount Sinai. Moses was instructed by the Lord to address the people and is found in Exodus 19:5‑8: “ Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel. And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him. And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD. ”
This covenant God made with Israel was unconditional. When its terms were violated by His people God declared in
Ezekiel 20:36‑38: “ Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord GOD. And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant: And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me... ”
As a nation tody, we suffer from having violated the terms of the Covenant God made with our forefathers. God cannot, and He will not move to deliver our nation from our enemies seeking our destruction until we become willing to keep the terms of the Covenant and then turn to the Lord with all our hearts and move as well to cleanse our land of all evil and cease desecration of the Lord ’ s Day.
In the meantime the world at large, and Soviet Russia and her allies in particular, are moving toward the day which caused the Psalmist to exclaim:
Psalm 83:1‑5: “ Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God. For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee. ”
A move to attack the Kingdom or an endeavor to destroy God ’ s people make such an aggressor the enemy of God Himself and in opposition to His Throne. This is clearly revealed when, after Israel left Egypt and was on her way to Mount Sinai, the Amalekites made an unprovoked assault against them. This foe was routed by the direct intervention of the Lord. The pronouncement of the Lord, following the defeat of the Amalekites, is thus recorded: “ Because the hand of Amalek is against the throne of the Lord, therefore, the Lord hath sworn that the Lord will have war against Amalek from generation to generation. ” *Exodus 17:16, Marginal Rendering)
In the coming battle of the Great Day of God Almighty, the destruction of Amalek will become a complete actuality, for as, as pointed out in “ The Russian Chapters of Ezekiel, ” the Amalekites are in command of “ Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech (that is Moscow) ” and are at the head of the great confederacy and, in their planned takeover of world rulership, are arming to attack and destroy the Anglo-Saxon and kindred peoples.
Confronted with this disastrous situation, and with those at Washington who rule over us assisting our enemies in obtainment of their objective, the Anglo-Saxon peoples must heed the Lord ’ s admonition, as voiced by the Prophet Joel, if our nation is to escape disastrous consequences: “ Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. ” (Joel 2:12-13)
When the Kingdom people finally awaken to their identity as the Israel of God, they will then become willing to pray the Israel prayer as thus predicted by Joel: “ Spare thy people, O Lord, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God? ” (Joel 2:17)
Joel states the Lord will be jealous for His land and pity His people, the Lord declaring: “ I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the alley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel. ” (Joel 3:2)
Joel proceeds to describe the nations preparing for conflict, beating their plowshares into swords and their prunninghooks into spears, with the weak or smaller nations boasting of military preparedness and strength.
The question then arises: Against whom are all the nations thus preparing to fight? The consensus of opinions today is that it is against each other, but John was told in Revelation: “ The kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. ” (Revelation 19:19)
Jesus was asked by His disciples what would be the signs of His coming at the end of the age. He told them not to be deceived, for many would come claiming to be Christ and would deceive many. He then said: “ And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. ” (Matthew 24:6)
This sign, “ wars and rumors of wars, ” has been in evidence from the first Christian century and continued century after century to the present day. Thus Jesus stated “ But the end is not yet, ” as He cautioned His disciples not to treat such signs of His coming or the end of the age. He then continued: “ For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. ” (Matthew 24:7)
In this order, wars and rumors of wars, nation against nation and finally kingdom against kingdom, do we have a clue when the time will have come when a confederacy of nations will constitute one great kingdom, the united armies of which will be in battle array against our Lord and His Kingdom? Is the signal now in evidence that the end is now upon us as the nations prepare to wage war with weapons of fearful destruction? Are we now witnessing coming to birth the great confederacy of the 83rd Psalm to become the kingdom of unrighteousness to go into battle “ against the Lord, and against his anointed? ” (Psalms 2:2) Is this to be the predicted endeavor to destroy, if possible, the Kingdom to be established in righteousness? The answer is definitely yes, with events on the agenda in the months ahead confirming this appraisal. Anticipating all this, Isaiah exclaims: “ Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. ” (Isaiah 13:6)
Previous to this exclamation, Isaiah gives a vivid destruction of the gathering for conflict: “ The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the Lord of hosts mustereth the host of the battle. ” (Isaiah 13:4)
Ferrar Fenton renders this: “ The High Hills re-echo a great people ’ s movement, The sound of the Leaders of Nations collecting; The Lord of Hosts mustering His Army for Battle! ”
The Judeo-Christian world depicts the Second Coming of Christ as a Prince of Peace and, to a large extent, they overlook the fact that He is the Prince of a peace. He will obtain through conquest. In His triumphant return as the Rider upon the white horse, He is coming as a Mighty Warrior, The Lord of Hosts; that is, the Lord of Battles is His name, to defeat and completely destroy the kings of the earth and their armies which have gathered together to make war against Him, His army and Kingdom. (Revelation 19:19) John declares that, as the heavens open and the Rider on the white house leads His army earthward, He is Faithful and True: “ And in righteousness he doth judge and make war. ” (Revelation 19:11) Ferrar Fenton renders it this way: “ In justice He declares and wages war. ”
John depicts the great slaughter of the kings and their armies who had elected to fight Him and destroy His Kingdom. John states: “ And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. ” (Revelation 19:15)
Isaiah refers to Him as clothed in glorious apparel, traveling in the greatness of His strength proclaiming righteousness and of His enemies declaring: “ I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. ” (Isaiah 63:3-4)
The continued proclamation by Judeo-Christian leaders, evangelists and others that God is a God of love, and that He loves everyone, finds them failing to take into consideration that He is also a God of justice. He will avenge the blood of those “ slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held. ” (Revelation 6:9) Moses also declared: “ He will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people. ’ (Deuteronomy 32:43)
His fury and wrath will also be directed against evil and all of its machinations. Paul declares of all who have reviled Him: “ When the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe in that day. ” (2 Thessalonians 1:7-10)
Paul further declared: “ It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. ” (Hebrews 10:31)
The end of the 12th chapter of Hebrews states that God is a consuming fire and Esdras identifies the sharp sword John witnessed coming from His mouth as a flame of fire that was like a sword from the mouth of the Rider on the white horse. Esdras beheld a great multitude of men, without number, a great army preparing to subdue the Son of God, and thus describes the scene: “ I beheld, and, lo, all they which were gathered together to subdue him were sore afraid, and yet durst fight. And, lo, as he saw the violence of the multitude that came, he neither lifted up his hand, nor held sword, nor any instrument of war: But only I saw that he sent out of his mouth as it had been a blast of fire and out of his lips a flaming breath, and out of his tongue he cast out sparks and tempests. And they were all mixed together; the blast of fire, the flaming breath, and the great tempest; and fell with violence upon the multitude which was prepared to fight, and burned them up every one, so that upon a sudden of an innumerable multitude nothing was to be perceived, but only dust and smell of smoke: when I saw this I was afraid. ” (2 Esdras 13:8-11)
Thus Esdras beheld the destruction of a great army by atomic fire, an event yet to occur following the triumphant return of Jesus Christ in His coming Second Advent. In that day Isaiah declared: “ The Lord shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies. ” (Isaiah 42:13)
Esdras refers to the Kingdom of God as a mountain, which had been carved or formed by God; that is, the Kingdom organized at Mount Sinai. Esdras beheld the Son of God alight upon the mountains as He faced the multitude that “ durst fight. ” Daniel informed King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon that the stone which smote the feet of the image represented the Kingdom which the God of heaven had set up, and it became a great mountain which finally filled the whole earth. ” (Daniel 2:35, 44)
After the defeat of those who tried to subdue Him and of the enemies of His Kingdom, Esdras witnessed the gathering unto Him of a peaceful multitude, the people of the Kingdom whom He had just delivered from being destroyed by their foes. Both Isaiah and Micah record the fortunes of the mountain or Kingdom of the Lord from this time and forward: “ And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord ’ s house shall be established in the top of the mountains (over all kingdoms), and shall be exalted above the hills (over all governments); and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem...And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into prunninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. ” (Isaiah 2:2-4; Micah 4:1-4)
In a special message addressed to the citizens of His Kingdom, the Lord declares: “ Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. ” (Ezekiel 37:26)
